resource wins £4.5m University of Ulster contract

resource, the Ireland and UK support services group, has been awarded a £4.5m contract with the University of Ulster.

The substantial, three-year contract includes cleaning, security and car park management across all four University of Ulster campuses. By streamlining all services under a single provider, the University will benefit from greater cost efficiencies and economies of scale.

Following a recruitment and induction process, the company has created 70 new jobs as a result of the contract.

A dedicated resource management team will oversee all aspects of delivery, ensuring consistency, best practice and enhancement of the University’s image at all service levels.

The bespoke service includes a series of innovative solutions in line with the University’s commitment to energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact. A number of technological solutions will also help to drive forward cost efficiencies.

Ian Cann, Head of Facilities Services, University of Ulster, said: “We have developed a good relationship with resource and they have a proven track record for delivering quality services with a client focused approach.”

resource also supplies cleaning services to Queen’s University, Belfast. In Gt. Britain resource provides services to Imperial College London, Goldsmith’s College, University of Kent, City of Westminster College and City of London Academy.
