Resource Services Group, the provider of essential support and business-critical services to the private and public sector in the UK and Ireland, has announced completion of a management buy-in and the strengthening of the group’s balance sheet.

The current management of the group, led by CEO Dave Seaton, has acquired the group’s equity held by the previous investors and has significantly improved the group’s debt gearing in the process.

Mr Seaton said the restructuring would enable the company to accelerate its growth plans.

Stuart Bundock as been appointed to cover London and the South East and joins resource from OCS/Strand where he specialised in creating innovative solutions within the Facilities Management sector. Whilst mainly focusing on the city of London within the Professional Services sector, his track record also boasts impressive results winning business and re-tenders from a vast array of sectors. 

resource, the Ireland and UK support services group, has announced the appointment of Martyn Kurrant as Regional Business Development Manager for London and the South East.  Martyn joins resource from OCS and has many years experience in diverse markets with a particular strength in the development of effective long-term Client relationships. His proven track record in sales and marketing in terms of his consistent achievement and inclusion on public, commercial and specialist works across multiple services demonstrate his success.  

resource is pleased to announce the contract award for cleaning services to 15 Lookers PLC dealerships throughout the UK. The contract commenced on the 1st June 2011 to 12 dealerships, providing cleaning services to showrooms, offices, receptions, toilets and workshops.  Services to a further 3 dealerships will commence with effect from 1st  July, with the opportunity of working with additional dealerships in the near future.

resource worked in partnership with The Purchasing Agency who are purchasing and logistics consultants to a number of business, including Lookers, who are flagship  distributors for car manufacturers such as Citroen, Lexus, Renault Toyota, Land Rover, Volkswagen and Volvo.

resource, the UK and Ireland support services group has been awarded an extension to the existing cleaning contract for Barclays Bank branches in London and the South of England. Working in a continued partnership with JCI (Johnson’s Controls), resource shall commence the additional contract for ATM (Cash Machine) Cleaning across the Southern portfolio of Barclays with effect from  16th May 2011.

resource are pleased to announce the contract award of Bus Shelter Cleaning Services and associated Infrastructure Cleaning across Tayside in Scotland. The Tayside Consortium is a shared services initiative for the provision of corporate procurement services amongst Angus, Dundee City and Perth and Kinross Councils. The contract award includes the cleaning of over 600 Bus Shelters across Angus and Perth & Kinross, plus the cleaning of Arbroath Bus Station.

resource, the Ireland and UK support services group, has announced the appointment of Russ Smith to resource as ‘Police and Justice Services Director’ for GB.

Russ will be focused on building relationships between the networks established by the Security Advisory Board with those Police Forces across England & Wales that are considering outsourcing. He will also be working with the Security Advisory Board  to further develop the work completed to date on our Police Sector offer as well as ensuring that we apply the necessary standards to bidding for new Police business across GB by utilising not only his experience but that of the SAB.

Northern Ireland’s leading support services company Resource has been re-awarded a contract that will extend its partnership with Bloomfield Shopping Centre in Bangor for another three years.

Resource will provide a comprehensive range of services for the centre from security and housekeeping to cleaning, maintenance and waste management.
